Summer Camp 2007
Welcome to Lindall Hunters Summer
Day Camp. Summer time is a great
time for children to experience the joy
of horses! Our Summer Day Camp
program is open to children ages 6 -
12 years. We specialize in beginner
riders, and offer a full week - long
camp geared toward teaching
children skills to become confident
around horses, and in the saddle.
Our emphasis is always on safety.
Each day students are offered the
opportunity to ride horses, swim,
participate in arts & crafts, and learn
the proper way to halter, lead, groom,
saddle, bridle, feed and care for a
horse.
Students learn the importance of wrapping the horses legs to protect them from injury.
|
Students learn to groom and saddle their horse for each riding lesson.
|
Students learn how to care for a horse, such as feeding, bathing, and cleaning the stall.
|
Students learn the proper way to bridle a horse.
|
Students start safely on a lunge line until we are confident they can start, stop and turn a horse.
|
A visit from our Farrier will teach students parts of the hoof, and proper care of the hoof.
|
Small group lessons emphasize basic skills, safety, and confidently completing an obstacle course.
